How it works

Seeing an eye doctor without leaving home

A consultation is a 30 minute video call with a licensed optometrist. Here is exactly what happens, what it costs, and what we can and cannot do over a screen.

1

Tell us what you are feeling

Describe your symptoms in the chat on our homepage, or message us on WhatsApp. We will point you to the right next step, and say plainly when something needs a doctor rather than a self-care kit.

2

Book and pay

Enter your name, email and WhatsApp number. You will get a booking reference, then settle by bank transfer over WhatsApp. We confirm the moment the transfer lands.

3

Meet your optometrist

A private Google Meet link is sent to your email and your WhatsApp, usually within the hour. Join two minutes early. The call lasts about 30 minutes.

4

Get your findings

Your optometrist follows up with what they found, a prescription where one applies, and clear next steps. It arrives on the same WhatsApp thread.

What you need
  • A phone or laptop with a working camera
  • About 30 minutes somewhere quiet with decent light
  • WhatsApp on the number you book with, so we can reach you
  • Your current glasses or a previous prescription, if you have one
What it costs
₦10,000

One consultation, about 30 minutes, with a licensed optometrist. Nothing is charged until you choose to book.

What a video call cannot do

We would rather say this up front than waste your money. A remote consultation is good for eye strain, dryness, irritation, allergies, redness, prescription questions and deciding whether something needs urgent attention. It cannot measure your eye pressure, examine the back of your eye, or replace the equipment in a clinic.

If your optometrist finds something that needs a physical examination, they will tell you during the call and point you to a clinic. Sudden loss of vision, a serious injury or chemical in the eye needs a hospital now, not a video call.
